Charles Vess is an American artist best known for his illustrations of the works of Neil Gaiman and Jeff Smith. His numerous cover art and illustrations for various publications such as Heavy Metal, Klutz Press, and National Lampoon and for Marvel, DC, Darkhorse and Epic comics have earned him two Will Eisners, the World Fantasy Award, and most recently the Locus award.
