British science fiction and fantasy writer M. John Harrison has received the Arthur C. Clarke and James Tiptree, Jr. awards. His long career extends all the way from short fiction stories in the 60s to the present day. His award winners include Light, Nova Swing and Climbers. Most recently Nova Swing has won the 2008 Philip K. Dick Memorial Award.
